I usually end up sleeping with a pillow tucked slightly over my eyes while I sleep. I have never been a fan of eye masks because they always feel restricting and I can’t get over the claustrophobia. I always like to try out new thing so I was excited to try these out and see if they exceeded my expectations. They did not lol! They are just the same as others I have tried. They do however have a larger velcro strap that allows for the mask to be easily adjusted. Which is a nice perk. They also come in a nice black carrying bag to keep them clean and tucked away safely for the next use.
There is 2 masks in the packs and they are very different. The nose pieces for each mask fit very differently. The black one is more comfortable than the pink one. The pink one is very constricting on the nose and felt like it was pushing down on the bridge of my nose. The black one was definitely more comfortable than the pink one. My husband was nice enough to help to model and test the product! 🙂
They are made of a very comfortable fabric that is easily melded to your face. While I wasn’t a big fan of these but my husband did seem to like them. They fit his face better and was more comfortable for him. He recommends them! Check them out on Amazon!
Is Matcha tea for you? Do you follow the craze that is sweeping the nation? I’m not lol, but I was interested to see what it tastes like. Will it be sweet, tart, does it actually taste like tea? Yea, I had absolutely no idea. I was a match virgin. I was excited to try it but obviously had my reservations. IT IS SO GREEN! It smells so weird too. I honestly couldn’t get over the smell of it.
I tried my first cup of the tea per the directions on the back of the package I was reviewing. IT SMELLS AWFUL. I don’t drink beer because I can’t get over the smell of it. This was pretty much the same situation. The smell was something I just couldn’t overcome. I disliked it before the hot green liquid could ever grace my tastebuds. I finally choked some down and I was soooooooooooo not a fan. I do not like it. It does not taste good to me and is not appetizing at all. I don’t know if it’s an acquired taste or what, I just can’t hack it.
If you would like to check out the product, you can find it on Amazon
In case you don’t know I am a yoga instructor and I am obsessed with yoga pants. These ombre pants made me giddy when I laid my eyes upon them. I was so excited to be able to review them. I mean, who can resist these beauties?!?
I immediately tried them on when they arrived and I was a tad disappointed. They were very stretchy which is normally a good thing but I felt like I was trying to put on a pair of pantyhose. They were scrunchy and had so much fabric, when I finally got them on I still wasn’t so sure so I took them off and washed them. Trying them again once they got out of the wash, I was still not happy with them.
To me they were more leggings than they are yoga pants. Those are two completely different clothing items and need to be sold with clarity which you will be getting. I do not feel comfortable wearing these to any of my yoga classes. When I bent over they were see through and the crotch part of it is just weird feeling.
They don’t fit like I expected for being advertised as yoga pants. I will definitely be keeping them for some awesome looking leggings to wear under something else or with a long shirt lol!
I am very particular about the yoga pants I wear and these do not pass the test. I do however recommend them as leggings. They are soft and a beautiful color. If you want to check them out they are on AMAZON.
I have had my fair share of ups and downs, but the good times will always out weigh the bad and I’m thankful for that. Sometimes life just seems to knock you down and things can happen that are out of your control. I by no means have a perfect life. But I have so many people that make my life worthwhile, to me that is a perfect life. Surround yourself with those that find your worth. The ones that see the goodness in you.
Some things have happened in my life recently that make me question every aspect of my life. My trust was betrayed and I was hurt by someone who is very important to me. It’s those times when someone you thought would never hurt you, does. I know people are not perfect creatures and we all make mistakes, but when you trust someone with the love in your heart and they betray that….. It’s like a kick in the gut. It makes you question your worth and your happiness. It makes me wonder if I’m living the life that I should be. Can I do more in my life, was I at fault, where is my life going. You know you think about everything you have ever said or did and question absolutely everything. I hate it lol my mind goes berserk and I can’t sleep!
To get me through a betrayal of trust I called on the three most important people and my life. My mom, my sister and my mother-in-law. They all gave me advice that I cherish and helped me to put things into perspective.
My mother-in-law told me when things get tough you have to look in the mirror and tell yourself, “you are good enough!”. You are the only one in your life that will make you happy. No matter who it is that might have hurt you, betrayed you or just made you not feel good enough. You. Are. Good. Enough. I have prayed a lot. I have thought about forgiveness.. Is it worth having this person in my life if they so callously betray me when the times are tough? I have never felt so confused in my life.
If you have ever been through something like this remember you are good enough and people love you! ❤️ Someone is always there for you. Find someone to talk to. Work it out and do what’s best for you. Sometimes that toxicity is easier to let go of than it is to try fix the situation. If you need someone to talk to, shoot me a message! I’m there for you, even if I don’t know you!
So like any sane adult these days I took to Google and found some funny memes and quotes that just fit the situation to make me feel better. Here they are 👇
Every October we have so many things going on that we literally have to lay down some ground rules about accomplishing some fun stuff! We make a bucket list! This list isn’t a have to do kind of list but it’s more of an idea of what every one wants to do in this busy month. I highly recommend it, it holds me more responsible for doing more fun stuff with the kids. They definitely keep me in line and we usually accomplish more than one thing on that list. I love making lists so this is always fun for me! We have a summer bucket list, one for October and December, and also a overall (to be accomplished at any point) bucket list.
My kids always come up with some crazy stuff, so this list took some negotiating but here it is!
Our October Family Bucket List
- Visit a Pumpkin Patch
- Breakfast for dinner
- Carve a pumpkin
- Cook pumpkin seeds
- Hot chocolate bar
- Make a Halloween craft
- Bake a Halloween themed dessert
- Halloween movie night (the non scary, kid friendly movies)
- Chalk paint the driveway
- Decorate for Halloween
- Learn something new
- Read a different Halloween book each day
- Surprise destination trip
- Attend all of the festivals!
I would love to hear what’s on your bucket list! Do you make them too? What fun things do you do with your kiddos during this time of year!?
Being a yoga teacher, I love to try new things in my classes. Bolsters are one of my favorite props to use not only in my regular classes but especially for my Restorative yoga classes. I have tried bolsters stuffed with cotton which I love! This is the first time that I have been able to try out a buckwheat hull filled bolster. It takes a little getting used to but overall I like it!
The carrying case is perfect to tote it around to my private yoga classes and to keep it clean while it is being stored!
It is a lot more sturdy than a cotton bolster but it is perfect for meditation. Easily use it to set on or to incorporate it into your workout. The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the color that it comes in. Being white and a light orange makes it susceptible to getting dirty easily and it can’t be washed.
It is a very well made bolster and I see it lasting a long time! I recommend it and it is so great to add to your daily practices! Check it out! 🙂

I am so in love with face rollers! It is insane how amazing they are! I didn’t realize there are so many different ones out there! They have many different uses and come in numerous shapes and sizes.
This one I think is my favorite. It is an ice roller and the coolness against my face makes it feel amazing. You can use it as is and it slightly cool, you can also pop it in the freezer or refrigerator for a bit to get it nice and chilly. The vitamin C oil is my favorite thing that is in every kit that I have tried out. It is perfect for your skin and helps with any dryness you might experience.
I have horrible dry skin, especially during the winter months but this vitamin c oil makes a huge difference on my face and I absolutely love it! This is so easy to use and really has so many benefits!
- Helps to tighten skin and decrease pore size and improve skin tone
- Can help to eliminate puffiness and brightens under eye circles
- Assists in the fight against blemishes, fine lines, crow’s feet and wrinkles
- Helps to soothe inflammation and redness
- Promotes fluid flushing in the face
It is easily cleaned as well, just swipe with an alcohol wipe and store until you are ready to use it again!
I highly recommend this or any other products from this company! They really make high quality products and I love them! Check them out, I know you will love them just as much as I do!

It was a beautiful day to make slime! 🙂 We go through a lot of glue in our house! It is something that both the kids and I enjoy playing with. It is super easy to make and it can last up to a month or more if stored correctly. You do have to watch out for mold growth because we have had ours turn into some nasty looking gunk.
We have tried several different DIY recipes from Pinterest, because let’s face it Pinterest is the bomb and there are a million different recipes. Our go to is this easy recipe that 9 times out of 10 comes out correctly. You can find it HERE. Every once in a blue moon it becomes more of a blob and less like slime. I still have yet to figure out why it does this. We have done lots of trials and still have no idea lol.
We decided to go with a purple slime this time. Again, this is a very easy recipe that only requires 3 things! Warm water, glue and borax. If you are afraid of your kid possibly putting it in their mouths then don’t use this recipe. Borax is harmful and it definitely wouldn’t taste very good!
- 1/2 cup of glue
- 1/2 cup water added to glue. 1/2 cup added to Borax
- 2 t. Borax
When it comes to the above recipe, it never makes a lot. I usually double it and mix it like so:
- I add 2 bottles of glue to a bowl
- Fill both bottles half way shake well to get remaining glue
- Add to the glue and stir well
- In a separate bowl, warm up 1/2 cup of water in the microwave, add 1 T. Borax, stir til dissolved.
- Slowly add the borax mixture to the bowl of glue/water and stir quickly
- Mold into the slime and handle til dries…. You have slime….Congratulations!
This makes for hours of fun! 🙂
I have failed. I have failed Blogtober AGAIN!!! Have you ever made a goal and just knew you would stick to it and then ended up failing miserably!? Yea well that is me, for the second year in a row! Am I sorry? Nah, not really. Sorry, people that actually read my blog I am sorry that you have not been able to access the awesomeness that is my life.. I can hear you all weeping from here…..
Anywho… I am a mom, a very busy mom of 3 boys. October is one of our busiest months by far and guess what? I freaking came down with strep throat mere hours after my middle son’s 7th birthday party last Saturday. I was miserable and it has literally taken me a full week to recuperate. It sucks getting older, it seems like it takes forever to get over anything. Even a simple cold can keep me down forever.
So to spare you the snotty, sore throat story that has been my life for the past week, I am back at it. Despite the insanity that is my life I am hoping to donate more time to blogging and even though I am super behind I will be posting more to try to catch up before the month is over! 🙂 I have also decided to come up with my own BLOGGING CHALLENGE! It’s the MOM BLOGGING CHALLENGE! 🙂 More information to come in the next blog post!!
Would you love to participate in the challenge with me?? Check out my next post with the BLOG CHALLENGE! Love all you bloggers out there!!!
