“Your Next 24 Hours” ~Hal Donaldson with Kirk Noonan~

If asked, who among us wouldn’t say we were kind people? But kindness is often manifested in feelings of pity or sympathy–especially when others are watching–rather than in deeds. And when it comes down to it, what good does mere feeling do for the world?

Your Next 24 Hours is about something much bigger–a lifestyle of kindness, without thought of reciprocation, extended toward every person in our lives, both friend and foe. Through powerful true stories of kindness lived out, this book shows readers the enormous difference they can make through small, doable acts of kindness in their families, communities, workplaces, schools, and churches. It shows how every encounter with another person is an opportunity to be kind–and a chance to change our world.

A life with greater purpose and fulfillment is closer than you think. The decisions you make in the next twenty-four hours can change your life and influence the people around you……for good.

This is an awesome book! Who couldn’t use a little more kindness in their lives!?!? Wow! Each one of the stories in this book is heartwarming and wonderful. It reminds you that there are kind people out there, kind things happening all over the place. It’s easy to forget when there are such horrible thing happening all around the world. Not only is it full of stories about our favorite famous icons but they are truly uplifting words of wisdom.

There is so much to this book, it is not telling you what to do or how to change your life. It is full of information about others doing good in the world, and how they go about doing so. I love that they included Candace Payne “Chewbacca Mom”, just thinking about her video makes me laugh!! If you have no idea who she is you should check her out on YouTube!! She is hilarious and it is a nice start to the book! There are a ton of quotes throughout the entire book that are so great!! I literally want to print them out on poster paper and hang them up in my house! 🙂

  • “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectations of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you. – Princess Diana”

  • “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by…..living with the results of other people’s thinking . Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. -Steve Jobs”

  • “At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished. It’s about what you’ve done with those accomplishments. It’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back. – Denzel Washington”

At the end of each chapter it gives you a list of ways to be kind, each one different and each one more powerful than the next. It’s a great way to get started on being more kind to ourselves and to be more kind to others! It is a great book and I truly enjoyed it!! I will be passing it on and I recommend it to anyone! It is fantastic!!

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
