An Unlikely Couple Struggles to Reconcile the Burdens of Their Past
Dani Prescott came to the children’s hospital to spy on Brett Somers–so how did she end up on a date with him? Weeks earlier she’d seen an interview in which he blamed her mother for the plane crash that had killed his parents. But the crash had killed her mother as well, so Dani can’t believe the story Brett’s trying to sell to the media.
Vowing to find a way to discredit the privileged–and maddeningly handsome–Brett, Dani has been following him and taking photos, hoping to find something she can use against him. But when she catches his eye instead, she quickly finds herself offering up a fake name and agreeing to a date. Brett knows this mystery girl is hiding something–but he’s got his own secrets to keep. What will happen when he discovers who she really is? Will Dani and Brett look beyond their own heartaches to discover a love that could heal their deepest pain?
Fresh, flirty, and fast-paced, When Love Arrives is an engaging story that will have readers falling in love with the characters as they navigate the tricky waters between romance and revenge.
A love story at its finest! This is such a great book. There is heartbreak, pain, love and a yearning for God that is phenomenal. I absolutely loved all of the characters! Dani is such a sweet girl that has had a difficult life, she has plans to ruin the man that cursed her mother on live TV. Brett is a selfish man that has done despicable things in his past. They meet, is it by chance or is it Dani’s devious plan to make Brett pay for things he said about her mom? Things are so difficult for her and she tries to hate him but love blossoms. Beyond all odds, they first became friends and then love takes root.
A beautiful love story between a man and his long lost child, a man and woman, and these characters and God. Not only is there the story of Brett and Dani, it is also a story of Meghan (the mother of Brett’s child) and Jonah (Brett’s son that he didn’t know existed, til he was in a coma) and also the story of AJ and Shelby. So many characters and so many stories all wrapped up in a neat little package. Even though there were so many characters, it did not make it confusing at all and the story flowed so well that I found myself zipping through the book just to find out what was going to happen! Suspenseful at the end and a true romantic happily ever after. I really enjoyed this book, the characters are great and the story moves quickly. The story is ultimately about forgiveness! Which is a great reminder to us all! I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. I will definitely be recommending this book! I will also be checking into more of what this author has to offer!! A great author and a great book!
